Citizens Deposit Bank has been providing banking services to Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman, and surrounding counties since 1949. Since that time, CDB has expanded further into the region, providing their customer-first service to more and more members of the community they serve.
The Challenge
In late 2021, the Marketing Director at Citizens Deposit Bank approached us about partnering to help increase the account share in their expanded footprint. CDB had established themselves as a customer-service oriented local bank who worked closely with community members to achieve financial goals.
The Solution
Through extensive market research and a close collaboration with the CDB team, we established a two-year plan to get CDB where it needed to be and lay the groundwork for scalable growth as the project continued. It began with an updated brand identity to establish a consistent presence across all channels and embody the values promoted by CDB employees.
Working with CDB, we’ve maximized their visibility with consistent messaging and design for digital and in-person events throughout the community. Maintaining a communicative relationship has helped us pursue minor, time-sensitive goals with the team, and focus on building brand equity through a strategic marketing plan, now in its third year of execution

Creating search and display ads to run in locations surrounding each branch allowed our team to make more than 1.5 million impressions throughout the community since the project began.
Ads generated 57,000 total engagements and guided more than 52,000 users to the updated CDB website, making it easier to communicate specific needs of users to bankers and establish a personal connection with potential customers right off the bat.
Innovations worked with the CDB team to create a series of videos that highlighted the impact community banks have on the communities they serve featuring CDB employees known in the community, receiving tens of thousands of views.
We also created a campaign generated toward educating the public on the benefits of community banking, driving consistent traffic and generating form submissions from new customers.
